Over 90% of homes in the U.S. have leaky air duct systems. The amount of air leakage depends on the type of construction, the type of ductwork and the IECC building code that was enforced at the time the structure was built.  Duct Leak Assessments

A duct leakage assessment and air pressure measurement will tell you if your home's duct system is leaking air.  

An energy auditor will use an infrared camera to see the duct system behind the walls. Hot or cool air leaks will be visible with IR imaging. The auditor will also measure air pressure in various rooms, as duct leaks reduce air flow and cause uneven temperature throughout a home. 

There is a small fee for the IR appointment, but the fee may be applied toward our Aeroseal service. 
There is no obligation and there will be no high-pressure sales pitch. We strive to give you information about your home and the Aeroseal process, so you can make educated decisions about your home improvements. 

Duct Sealing Instant Rebates - Up to $600 (*Most homes qualify in 2024!)

If 50% of your home's ductwork runs through unconditioned space, such as an unfinished basement, attic or crawl space, or 70% of your ductwork is in semi-conditioned space, you may be eligible for a duct sealing instant rebate up to $600 through North Shore Gas, Peoples Gas or Nicor Gas. 

As an approved contractor, Priority Energy can give you an "instant rebate" at the time of service.

Priority Energy is a participating partner with the Illinois Energy Efficiency Loan Program which allows rebate customers to pay for Aeroseal duct sealing on their monthly utility bill.
