Mr. Carlsten is Priority Energy’s HVAC Specialist and brings over 9 years of residential and commercial mechanical experience to the team. With his HVAC and electrical background, building science knowledge and a devotion to energy conservation, Dave is a powerful addition to the team.
Dave is dedicated to finding solutions to improve comfort, health, and energy efficiency in any indoor environment. He is familiar with older systems as well as high efficiency equipment and “smart” technologies. Over the years Dave has provided installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance for gas-fired forced-air furnaces, electric air handlers, AC condensers, heat pumps, boilers, roof top units (RTUs), humidifiers, dehumidifiers, ventilation equipment and water heaters.
Prior to joining Priority Energy Dave worked for Underwriters’ Laboratories (UL) where he performed safety testing on electric air handlers, split system ACs and heat pumps, commercial refrigeration equipment, compressors, and large commercial roof top units. He also operated a small HVAC company of his own.
Dave is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and is a BPI-certified Energy Auditor and RESNET HERS Rater. He enjoys spending time with his family and practicing Jiu Jitsu.
